We strive to nurture every child's ability to be...
Curious thinkers with a sense of wonder for the world around them. Critical and creative learners who don’t give up.
To Nurture in Themselves
A strong sense of identity. To become protagonists of their own story, knowing who they are and that their opinions matter.
To Nurture with Others
As confident individuals who trust and empower each other through empathetic and inclusive relationships.
We offer diverse experiences that foster and extend learning and can be expressed in a variety of ways. Allowing every child to express their own individual talents, passions and interests.
A strong sense of welcome, openness and acceptance of every individual in a community, learning together. A place where everyone belongs.
Committed Learning Community
Long-lasting relationships that foster growth and curiosity. A partnership between educators, children and their family.
Bush School is the progression from our Bush Kindy program. Each Reception to Year 2 student will visit the Bush School sites to explore the environment and (where appropriate) be actively involved in restoration activities.
Outdoor Education in the Early Years involves an evening with parents for the Reception classes, star gazing around a fire; a two-man tent sleepover around the oval for Year 1 children sharing the experience with a parent; and the two-man tent experience again in Year 2, but with minimal parent involvement.
Our Patch to Plate program sees Reception-Year 2 classes, planting, growing and harvesting produce and cooking to experience a variety of tastes and textures of food. It involves science, mathematics, recipe reading and following, and sustainability practices.
Beginning from Reception, our Student Leaders meet weekly to bring ideas and suggestions from their classes to help improve our School. Democracy is practiced by giving children a voice.
The Arts focus becomes more specialised in the Reception to Year 2 years, with specialised lessons in Visual Arts, Dance, Drama and Music. The Year 2 classes have a Strings Program where children have the opportunity to play the violin, viola, cello, or double bass.
