Welcome to the 2021 School Year!

Welcome to the 2021 School Year!

I do trust that all families have been able to enjoy a restful break and that God has blessed you with a deep peace and great joy as we move into the new year.

God did bless me with 14 days of quarantine while we were in Melbourne, so while very rested, my break did not turn out as I had hoped or expected. It is, however, little price to pay when we consider the alternative that is playing out in England, Europe and the United States.

I am very much looking forward to the new year, not because I hope that it will be any easier than last year, but because it is a new year and our God is a God of newness and new beginnings . . . ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose’. Romans 8:28

One of the exciting parts of a new year is welcoming our new staff into our community. Also, we have some key changes to our leadership team.

New Leadership positions:

Clare Williamson has commenced as our Head of Early Years ELC-Yr2 having won this new position after establishing our ELC at the beginning of 2020. Clare’s expertise, understanding and commitment to our youngest learners will continue to be a blessing.
Vicky Jones takes up the position of Head of Junior School [Yr3-5] - again, this is a newly created role. Vicky is well known to the King’s Community as an exceptional teacher and Leader of Spiritual Formation and Wellbeing.

Please note our Executive Leadership Team is as follows:

Head of Early Years [ELC-Yr2]
Head of Junior School [Yr3-5]
Head of Middle School [Yr6-9]
Head of Senior School [Yr10-12]
Director Spiritual Formation
Director of Business
PA to the Principal
Mrs Clare Williamson
Mrs Vicky Jones
Mr Adam Dunt
Mr Lee Swiderski
Ms Kathryn Churchett
Mr Darren McDonald
Mrs Glyn Price
Mr Don Grimmett

I pray that the start of the school year has been smooth for you.

We look forward to 2021, not because we hope it will be easier than last year, but because we bring our extensive learnings in flexibility, resilience, and determination from 2020 to a new year, knowing our God is a God of newness and new beginnings.
