Shrove Tuesday: Reception-Year 5
5 Feb 2024

We are excited to announce our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast on the morning of Tuesday, 13 February.

Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday, is a day traditionally observed before the season of Lent begins. It's a time for reflection, repentance, and preparation for the Easter season. The custom of enjoying pancakes on this day comes from the desire to use up rich foods such as eggs and milk before the fasting period of Lent.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for parents and students to come together, enjoy a delicious pancake and engage in the spirit of community as we celebrate Shrove Tuesday. We will be serving pancakes with some honey (if desired).

The event details are as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, 13 February
  • Time: 8:15am-8:45am
  • Location: Friendship House

Your presence will make this event even more enjoyable, and we look forward to sharing this morning with you. If your child requires a gluten-free option, we would appreciate if you could let us know by submitting the form below by Wednesday, 7 February.

If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to contact us.

Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
