Pedal Prix - Tailem Bend Race
14 Jul 2021
The atmosphere built as the 99-car field prepared to tackle the 1.14km circuit for the next six hours. We were looking to cement our place in the championship after an extremely successful debut race at Tailem Bend.

A great start for Trike Tyson put us up the order early in the Middle School category; however, the luck would seem to run out. A slow leaking left front tyre would affect several of our drivers and caused us to lose at least five laps, as the team tried to figure out what the issue was and how to fix it. As soon as that was fixed, Trike Tyson found pace but was slowed down by multiple crashes, finishing at 42nd.

As for the Senior’s trike, K2, our race ran smoothly through the six hours. As we fought away in the midfield, the drivers kept a consistent pace with only a crash here and there. A late crash with 20 minutes for Trike Tyson impacted K2, as a four-car pileup was spread across the track. Thanks to some incredible reactions and driving, the Senior School car had a smooth and fast final hour, helping us to place at 32nd in the race.
