Representatives from Operation Christmas Child were unfortunately unable to attend our Assembly in Week 8, when students brought all their boxes to School. Thank you to the PE staff who lived with the boxes for over a week - but on Tuesday, the boxes were collected and taken to the processing depot, ready to be sent to Cambodia and Madagascar. Classes from across the Middle and Senior Schools helped to load the cars and trailers and once again, it was such a delight to see their smiling faces as they carefully carried the lovingly packed boxes.
Corinne and her team counted a whopping 685 boxes! Well done Team King’s - this year will be a big year for OCC.
Due to COVID restrictions interstate, South Australia has the task of processing Victoria’s and some of New South Wales' and the Northern Territory's boxes. The team here are looking for volunteers to help with the processing (approximately 40,000 boxes). They process during the first three weeks of November, Tuesday-Saturday. Volunteers need to be 15 and over, and accompanied with an adult.
