At King’s, we believe that each of us is made in the Image of God – a theology of the “Imago Dei”.
At the beginning of this year, we welcomed Mr James Lenigas to the position of Director of Faith and Culture – a position that celebrates and champions human flourishing through this belief. The appointment follows Kathryn Churchett’s prayerful decision to explore new ministry opportunities with the King’s Baptist Church.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Faith and Culture is responsible for shaping and creating a learning environment where individuals are valued, where each person understands their God given gifts and talents and their capacity to make a unique contribution to society.
Working in partnership with the Heads of Schools, the Director of Faith and Culture will steward and articulate the Christian narrative at the heart of our 'Vision of Faith' via our curriculum and programs, in the spiritual formation and pastoral care of King’s staff and students, and in our opportunities for Christian service.
The Director of Faith and Culture will also seek to establish partnerships with a range of faith communities – particularly those to which our families belong.
