Welcome to Term 4.
“Be still, and know that I am God”
I trust all families have enjoyed a time of rest and rejuvenation over the past two weeks. I was fortunate to be able to spend a few days on the south east coast (prior to the COVID outbreak) and feel blessed to have had some time to ‘be still and know’.
Term 4 is always a busy, yet profound time of year as we prepare for final examinations/assessments, graduations, Celebration/Presentation Evenings and culminating of course, with our celebrations of the birth of Jesus at Christmas.
I must acknowledge that despite my very best efforts, I know there will be times this term when I will feel stressed, rushed...perhaps even frantic and overwhelmed; all the feelings that can detract from our precious lead up to the season of ‘peace and joy at Christmas’.
So, in this, the first week of Term 4, my personal commitment is to ‘be still and know’ that God is with each of us during this busy, but exciting season.
Please join me in praying for our Year 12 students who, with only a week to go, will be experiencing feelings of joy, apprehension, and excitement...all at once! May they also know God’s presence as they enter this time of transition.
