Early Learners

Welcome to King’s Baptist Grammar School. If you are new to King’s, we hope that this is the start of a positive and enriching time for your child, or children, and your family as members of the King’s Early Learners’ community. If you are already part of the King’s community with older children attending the School, we hope that you will continue to feel part of the King’s extended family.

After extensive research, discussion, and planning, the decision was made by the King’s Baptist Grammar School in partnership with King’s Baptist Church to develop an Early Learning Centre influenced by the inspirational early childhood, educational work and philosophies from Reggio Emilia, Italy. An outstanding team of professionals was employed to take on the privilege of creating an early childhood education centre of excellence at King’s Early Learners. And now, with our beautiful facilities and a newly formed, wonderful team of teachers and co-educators, I’m confident of, and excited by, the prospects for the future. We invite you to join with us on a journey of learning which will provide a strong foundation for the lives of the children in our care.

I look forward to the possibilities that the journey together will bring.

Children have access to the art, construction, and imaginative play resources that are provided to all at King’s Early Learners. The children will also access the outdoor learning spaces to enjoy our creek, stage, sandpit, and gardens. Our Playgroup will be a supported playgroup where the Head of Early Years will be working in partnership with the Children and Family Ministry Pastor from King’s Baptist Church. They will work together to program and provide rich play opportunities for children from Birth to 5+ and their adult/s. The adults will delight in playing and learning alongside their children and be encouraged in their parenting/caregiving journey. Resources and activities are available to develop the joy of early language and literacy development, music and dance,  science and early mathematics, and the visual arts.

King’s Early Learners acknowledges that parents are the child’s first teacher and honour the role that parents and families play in the important early years of development.

Our program supports families to become more involved in their child’s learning. This is achieved by providing a stimulating range of activities that will enable children to be challenged, take safe risks, and grow by allowing them to:

  • Play in a child-safe and friendly environment
  • Help them build relationships and learn from others and
  • Assist families to discover how their child learns

Playgroup Program

Our Playgroup runs every Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. This time is filled with exploration, play-based investigations, fruit time and stories and songs for parents and children to enjoy.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our ELC.  For bookings and more information please go to the King’s Baptist Church website.
