In Drama, the student becomes the performer: the instrument that expresses ideas and feelings through dramatic action to an audience.

This subject area provides an extensive introduction to various aspects of drama practice. Drama covers the performance tools of voice and movement, improvisation and play-building. It examines and explores script work and the elements of a production. Exploration of techniques and conventions of different forms and styles of performance are also covered. Recounting, researching and reflecting are strongly encouraged as a means of developing an appreciation and understanding of drama as well as the dramatic processes  of creating (exploring and developing ideas), making (using skills techniques and processes)  and performing (presenting drama in ways appropriate to a specific audience).
