Building a Vision and Life of Faith ‘And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.’ (Revelation 21:3 NIV) The development, growth, writing, planning, preparation and presentation of the Faith Studies/Chapel program at King’s is a collaborative experience. Time is given on pupil free days for Faith Studies teams to write, plan and prepare for the term. Many of these teams also give extra time during holidays to meet and plan. Each year concludes with a round-table reflection with representative staff from each planning team. This enables staff to understand the bigger faith story of a student’s experience at King’s. It also provides opportunity to provide input across the year levels for students and staff. This might include staff speaking at different year level Chapels, out growing Buddy program across Years3, 4 and 12, a student or class presenting at a Chapel other than their own. The outcomes are not just knowledge based, but real, life-giving and practical.
Each student will experience this cycle twice – once in JP & once in Primary
How do I live in this ‘house of faith’ that has developed over the past 9 years? |
