Synopsis:

The Blue Fairy calls us to help her celebrate the story of a wish that she was able to grant to a wooden puppet (Pinocchio) whom she had turned into a real boy. Unfortunately, the toymaker, Geppetto is not that enamoured by his new son and feels that he is not the perfect child he had hoped for. Geppetto asks the Blue Fairy to take him back. Saddened by this request, the Blue Fairy decides to take Geppetto on a journey back in time to the morning before the wish was made.

This begins a heart-warming and comical journey to where it all started. Along this journey, we meet such characters as Stromboli (a puppeteer with a dubious personality), Professor Buonragazzo (who has a machine that custom builds ‘perfect children’ for their parents!), a ringleader and roustabouts who introduce Pinocchio to ‘Pleasure Island’ (the name says it all) and other wonderful and colourful characters. Based on the original Disney movie ‘Pinocchio,’ our older audience members will enjoy reminiscing this timeless tale and our younger and not so informed audience will enjoy the story of a young boy and his father’s journey as they seek to find understanding, hope, tolerance and love for each other.

Join Pinocchio and that ever growing nose of his, as he embarks on a journey from wooden puppet to real boy and his father’s transformation from a demanding creator to a loving father.
