Our Year 12 academic results again reflected the hard work of students and the dedication of staff in 2011. 23.5% of our Year 12 students achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) above 90 which places them in the top 10% of the State. Indeed 91.2% of our students were in the top 50% of the State, whilst 4 students achieved 5 merits representing outstanding achievements in subjects studied. You may have reviewed the Schools NAPLAN results on the My School website. At Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 our students were generally above ‘average’ or significantly above average compared with the State average.

MAY
FISAF state finals for aerobics. Tamika Satavrou (6G), Chelsea Penna (6G), Alyssa Clohesy (6D), Stephanie Edwards (10K), Caitlin White (9M), Nicole Pedler (11G) and Chloe Collins (11H) all placed top 3 in their categories and will be competing later in the year at Nationals.

Georgia Rankin (8A) whose drill and dance team competed in their National Championships won gold in all four sections.

Crystal Vas (12M/E) was chosen to be the guest speaker at the Salisbury Council’s International Women’s Day Breakfast on Friday 9 March. Crystal has been a member of the Salisbury Youth Council for the past 4 years as well as the project team leader of the Youth Council’s Cyber Safety Project. She reflected on what inspires her to be an active and successful young woman.

Chloe VanDerVlag (7D/R) attained the level of ‘Honoured Writer’ in the Write4fun literary competitions. She has ranked in the top 15% of entrants in competitions held throughout 2005 to 2011.
